Aluminum deckover - If you are looking for a traditional deckover trailer, but want an aluminum frame for its lightweight, corrosive resistant properties, this is your trailer. It is available in a 7000#, 9900#, and 14000# GVW. The trailer is offered with a straight deck and slide out ramps, but is most often equipped with the optional 4' beavertail and 5' stand up equipment ramps. We find the 164 9990# and 204, 14000# models to be the most common, both with stand up ramp options. Both of those models have the upgraded frame and floor crossmembers. H&H does a nice job of combining a full wrap tongue, capable main frame and crossmembers, and placing adequate frame gussets to provide a strong, yet fairly lightweight trailer. The 9990# and 14000# models will provide roughly 800-1300# of additional payload over a comparable steel trailer, allowing some users to stay under 10000# and additional DOT requirements (med card, combo tags, etc.). We like the way the slimline lights and new bullet LED lights give the trailer a tidy, sleek look. The 164' 9990# model weighs in about 2300#, leaving a net legal payload of approximately 8000# with tongue weight, while the 14000# can payload about 11000#. Depending on the load, a 10K GVW unit may be pulled with most half ton trucks. This is a well put together aluminum deckover with not only additional corrosive benefits and lighter weight, but also more features and better craftsmanship than most steel trailers on the market.
